Terms of Service

1. What we do

We list properties for rent and sale. We do not own, manage, inspect, or guarantee the availability, condition, legal status, or accuracy of any property listed. Listings are submitted by landlords, agents, and sellers, and reviewed by our team before publishing where noted.

2. Accounts

You need an account to unlock contact details, save listings, or list a property. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. You must provide accurate contact information - we use it to verify inquiries and, where relevant, to reach you about a listing.

3. Fees

A small one-time fee is charged via M-Pesa to reveal a listing's landlord or agent contact details, and landlords pay a one-time activation fee to publish a listing. These fees cover access to contact information and platform access only - they do not constitute a booking, deposit, rent payment, or guarantee of tenancy or sale. Any rent, deposit, or purchase price is agreed and paid directly between you and the landlord, agent, or seller - Digital Manyatta is not a party to that transaction and does not hold or process those funds.

4. Your data

We collect the personal data you give us directly - name, phone number, email, and (for landlords and agents) property and contact details - to operate the marketplace: creating your account, processing payments, matching inquiries, and daily communication about your listings or unlocks. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share it only with the service providers that make the platform work (payment processing, hosting, and communications), and as required by Kenyan law.

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request its correction or deletion, object to certain processing, and lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. 5. Conduct

Don't misuse the platform: no fraudulent or duplicate listings, no scraping or bulk-harvesting of contact details, no using revealed contact information for anything other than a genuine property inquiry, and no impersonating another person or business. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, at our discretion.

6. Liability

The platform is provided "as is." We do our best to keep listings accurate and the site available, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we're not liable for disputes, losses, or damages arising from a transaction between you and a landlord, agent, or seller - that relationship is between you and them.

7. Changes and law

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. If you have a dispute, please contact us first - most things can be resolved directly.
